Vans, Inc. Et Al V. Mschf Product Studio, Inc.
Vans, Inc. and VF Outdoor, LLC have filed a lawsuit against MSCHF Product Studio, Inc. for several legal violations, including trademark infringement, false designation of origin, unfair competition, and trademark dilution. The lawsuit alleges that MSCHF collaborated with Michael Stevenson to create and sell the MSCHF Wavy Baby shoe, which blatantly incorporates Vans' trademarks and trade dress. Despite receiving cease and desist letters from Vans, MSCHF has continued to aggressively market the Wavy Baby shoe, which is set to launch on April 18, 2022. Vans is seeking damages and injunctive relief. Additionally, Vans has filed two separate lawsuits against Target Corporation and other companies for allegedly infringing on Vans' trademark and trade dress rights by selling shoes that are confusingly similar to the OLD SKOOL shoe. Vans is seeking damages and injunctive relief to prevent further infringement.
